In the study of karmic astrology and past lives, the main points in the chart to consider are the Moon, Saturn, (past and lessons), Ascendant (where cosmic forces are grounded in one's life and point to past/future life talents/abilities), Midheaven (what one's about - what they want to be known as), among many other things.

Some unusual 'coincidences' or synchronicity exists in the birth charts of Abraham Lincoln and Barack Obama. The most obvious connection in their lives is Lincoln's struggle with the horrid past practice of slavery and the fact that our current President, Barack Obama, is the first of America's presidents to be of partial African-American descent.

The ties between their charts are:

Lincoln's Moon is conjunct Obama's Saturn in the 12th house (of each)

Each chart has an Aquarius Rising (or Ascendant - 18 degrees and 22 degrees, which I would call a
wide conjunction

Lincoln's Saturn is opposite (180 degrees) Obama's Moon in 3rd degree of Sag. and Gem.

Lincoln's Saturn and Obama's Moon opposition is along Obama's Mc/Ic axis

Obama's Uranus is opposite Lincoln's Sun/Ascendant conjunction

and there are more. But we don't need to go much further to see there are significant ties in powerful places in each birth chart.

I see the Moon-Saturn aspects and the 12th house tie-ins as especially meaningful as far as past life ties and connections. The mutual Lunarization and Saturnization of the charts are uncommon. Past, present, lessons, memories, and realization of spiritual insights into each other's life or lives seem to indicate the possibility of reincarnation as a topic worthy of consideration and research.

Abraham Lincoln was considered highly 'psychic' but I have not done any research on his views or experiences with past life recall and reincarnation. I'll be looking into this fascinating subject so check in every once in awhile if you're intrigued.


Note: Remember that the birth chart, a picture of the heavens at the moment of birth, consists of 360 degrees - a circle. The odds of having one or two factors in the same degree, out of those 360, between 2 charts, are noteworthy. To have 5 or 6 factors in those critical places is quite astonishing. L
